Winter is almost over!

It's hard to think that winter is almost over.  The celebrations seem to keep us all occupied, that as soon as the New Year rolls round we look up and realize it's over and begin to ask whether there was something we could have done to make it last longer.  Only the memories are alive in our minds and any pictures we managed to take, if we remembered!
Here are a few pictures I remembered to take, whilst enjoying the Christmas festivities in England with my family.
Christmas Tree Sugar Cookies

I only made a few cookies this year, but no christmas cake, trifle, christmas pudding, mince pies etc.  Instead I enjoyed helping my sister and mother in England prepare the meal, which was so wonderful.  I had the best Christmas!! It's been 14 years since I last celebrated Christmas in England. Being married to a Pastor and living in Florida it is very hard for us to get away since Christmas is a time of year where there are many hurting people and many events which keeps my husband running here and there during this time.

Reindeer Norwegian Spice Cookies (my favourite)
I was so blessed to be able to go home for Christmas and spend time with my Mum, sister, brother-in-law and their children.  My children enjoyed every moment with their cousins, feeding the chickens, collecting the eggs together, going on country walks, bouncing on the trampoline in the dark (it gets dark at 4pm in winter), and eating the most amazing foods. They certainly developed a great appetite! The cold was so refreshing and I had extreme fun being able to wear winter clothes for once. We loved it.

Sparkly Snowflakes

So with all the fun I really didn't have time to make anything special, nor time to post anything.  Now we have settled back into a somewhat normal routine and my son's birthday is over I can now post these pictures.  I hope you enjoy them.

I love the pictures of your Christmas cookies. The faces on the reindeer and snowmen are so cheerful...they made me smile. You are an excellent cookie decorator.
